Free Smartphone Filmmaking & Documentary Masterclass Series with SF3

SF3 is one of the world's leading educators in the smartphone filmmaking space. Join them in this free 3 art masterclass series as they teach you everything you need to know to turn your phone or tablet into a professional filmmaking camera. Over the course of 3 weeks you will learn smartphone filmmaking techniques, you will plan and write a documentary on the local Blacktown area, you will shoot your documentary and then you will learn to edit and have a finished professional documentary.

The skills we will cover include:

• lighting

• sound

• cinematography

• writing

• pre-production

• smartphone filmmaking tips and techniques

• editing

• sound design

• colour grading

• how to get your film out into the world

Together we will make a series of short documentaries on the Blacktown area and its people.

SF3 has taught thousands of workshops across the world to filmmakers of all ages and abilities, from absolute beginners to professionals. This is a 3 part masterclass series and by signing up, you agree to attend all 3 classes. We understand things may come up, so please reach out to us if they do, but this course is run over these 3 weeks and each session will grow on the last leading to your finished film.
