Shall All Really Be Saved? Six Evenings Exploring Christian Universalism with Lucas Thompson and Simon Perini

Is it true that God really does "desire all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth" (1 Tim. 2:4)? Can we have faith that "the Lord will not cast off forever" (Lam. 3:31) anyone from His presence? Will God really be "all in all" (Eph. 1:23) in the end, leaving not a single person outside of His infinite Love and Grace? Did Christ actually "drag all of humanity" (John 12:32) to Himself through the Cross? And is Paul speaking literally when he says that "in Christ all shall be made alive" (1 Cor. 15:22)? Simon Perini and Lucas Thompson, who will lead these sessions, are not career theologians or Biblical scholars. They are simply among the many who answer a resounding "yes" to all these questions – and have followed their hearts to a depth and breadth of reading in Scripture and historical theology.

In this series, they detail their thinking behind the Christian Universalist conviction that all people will ultimately be saved by God. By looking at key passages from scripture as well as crucial extracts taken from 2,000 years of theological reflections on heaven, hell, and the nature of God's grace, this series explores what it means to believe (with confidence) that God not only desires to save all of humanity, but will indeed accomplish it.

This course costs $120, or $60 for subscribers of the St James' Institute (subscriptions are currently available for $120 for the remainder of this calendar year, or $100 concession). Each session will run approximately an hour and a quarter, on Tuesday evenings between late September and early November 2026. They will be delivered via Zoom, with access details circulated shortly before the course begins.
