Shamanic Circle: Earth Mother 29 August 26
Description
The Shamanic Circle is a monthly gathering where we explore different aspects of ourselves, our relationships and our lives through shamanic practice.
Each month has a different theme. The structure stays familiar, while the focus changes. The evening includes a simple shamanic practice, gentle breathwork, a deeper guided journey accompanied by live drumming, and time afterwards to reflect and share experiences together.
Previous experience with shamanic journeying is beneficial, but not required. The practices and journeys are guided, so you can come to the Circle even if this is your first experience of shamanic journeying.
This month's theme is Mother.
Our relationship with our mother is one of the earliest relationships we experience, and there can be a lot held there. Love, gratitude, hurt, anger, things we never said, things we wanted to hear, and parts of ourselves that still want to be seen.
During this Circle, we'll use shamanic journeying to explore our relationship with our mother and connect with whatever is held there. The journey will also work with the Divine Feminine and Earth Mother, moving beyond our individual experience towards a larger connection with Mother energy.
The point isn't to resolve everything in one evening or to tell you what your relationship with your mother means. The journey may give you a different way of experiencing that relationship and open something you can continue exploring afterwards.
Evening Format
Welcome and check-in
A simple shamanic practice
Gentle breathwork
A deeper guided shamanic journey with live drumming
Quiet reflection
Group discussion and sharing
The Circle is intentionally kept small so everyone has time to reflect, ask questions and, if they wish, share their experience.
Who is this for?
The Circle is open to everyone. You don't need previous experience with shamanic journeying to attend.
If you have journeyed before, you'll have an opportunity to go further with your existing practice. If you're completely new, you'll be guided through the process and given what you need to participate.
What to bring
Comfortable clothing suitable for sitting and lying on the floor
A blanket if you tend to get cold
A water bottle
A journal if you like taking notes
Recommended
You're encouraged to bring a small personal item that has meaning to you. In the Q'ero tradition this is often a stone collected from a place that is important to you, but it can be anything that feels significant.
During the Circle, these objects will become part of our shared ceremonial space. At the end of the evening you'll take your object home with you. If you have a personal altar or place of practice, you may wish to include it there and continue working with it after the Circle.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start so we can begin together.
