FAQs

• Where is Shambala Festival?

  Shambala takes place at Kelmarsh Hall and Gardens, Northampton NN6 9LY. It's a gorgeous countryside site, with stunning lakes, lush flat fields, woodlands and meadows.

• How Big is Shambala Festival?

  Not very big! We’re a comparatively small festival - with between 14,000 - 15,000 public adults (plus kids).

• Will there be food vendors and what food options will be available?

  There are plenty of food vendors across the site, all of which are meat-free and fish-free.

   

  Please remember to bring your reusable cups, cutlery and dishware to help reduce waste at the festival.

   

• Can you bring alcohol into Shambala?

  You may bring limited amounts of alcohol to site. The per adult limit is:

  • 16 x 440ml cans of lager/cider/beer OR

  • up to 70cl of spirits (not in glass) OR

  • 18 x 250ml cans of premixed spirit drinks OR

  • 3-litre box of wine OR

  • 7 litres of cider/lager/beer in plastic bottles or cans.

  Excess alcohol will be confiscated and forfeited. Alcohol can only be brought into the festival on your first entry. There is strictly no re-entry to the festival with alcohol. No bulk items e.g. cases or slabs of cans and keg dispensers are allowed. 

  As an independent event, our bars are a crucial income stream that keep the festival viable – and they're brilliant so please do support them. Our bars serve the finest ciders, ales, lagers and cocktails and we work hard to keep our pricing affordable compared to many festivals.

• Can I camp in my car?

  No, you will need to purchase a car pass and park in our car park over the weekend.

   

• What is the Recycling Bond?

  A £25 refundable deposit is added to all orders. It’s returned to the original booker when you bring your sorted rubbish and recycling to a Recycling Exchange before leaving the festival site.

  Please refer to the Shambala website, app or printed programme for Recycling Exchange opening hours. Thanks for helping us leave the site tidy and clean!

• Are Day Tickets Available?

  New for 2026, Sunday Day Tickets are now available to local residents, living within LE and NN postcodes.

  Non-local residents must purchase a full weekend ticket, but you can choose to arrive at the festival on any day.

   

• How Do I Get A Green Traveller Discount?

  To encourage sustainable travel to and from Shambala, we offer a Green Traveller ticket, which is discounted by £40, compared with standard Adult Weekend Tickets.

   

  How it works:

  1. Add a Green Traveller Adult Weekend Ticket to your order.

  2. Book one of our official low-impact travel options:

  • Shambala Express Coach

  • Rail Station Shuttle Bus (for those arriving by train)

  • Red Fox Cycling Tour 

  Please note: Your Green Traveller ticket is only valid if you arrive using your chosen travel option. Failure to do so may result in refusal of entry, or a surcharge applied at the gate.

   

  Proof of Travel

  You’ll need to show evidence of your low-impact journey when you arrive:

  • Rail Shuttle Bus: Present a valid train ticket to Market Harborough or Long Buckby for the same day as your festival entry, along with your shuttle bus ticket.

  • Shambala Express Coach: Arrive on an official Shambala Express Coach.

  • Red Fox Cycling Tour: Arrive as part of an official Red Fox Cycling group. 

  Please note:
  All ticket holders travelling by rail are responsible for their own train travel arrangements. Shambala Festival cannot accept liability for any delays or disruptions to your journey.

• Can I Buy Tickets for a Friend?

  Yes, during checkout, you can purchase multiple tickets of any type for your friends. When prompted, please ensure you enter your friends' names on each ticket where required.

  You may be requested to show ID to verify that you are the owner of that ticket. Your name must match that on the ticket.

• I Can No Longer Attend the Festival. Can I Get a Refund?

  Tickets are non-refundable as per the event terms and conditions.

  Humanitix will operate our official resale platform. If you find you can no longer attend, you’ll be able to list your ticket for resale safely and securely on the platform at face value - no more, no less.

  Resale Window Closure: To help us manage ticket availability in the run-up to the festival, the official resale window will close one week before the show, on Thursday 20th August at 23:55

• Is Camping Included in My Ticket?

  Yes, general camping is included in your ticket price. You will need to bring your own camping equipment.

  If you'd like a little more comfort and convenience during your stay, you can upgrade to our Dragonfly Camping Fields from £45 per adult.
