Shape Safer Financial Systems: Participate in IoNV Research
Event description
Disrupting Financial Abuse: Join the Conversation
At the Institute of non-violence, we're committed to addressing financial abuse - a devastating form of control that often leads to poverty and severe impacts on those experiencing it.
To combat this, we're working with one of the major banks to disrupt various forms of financial abuse. To do so, we are conducting innovative research aimed at:
- Investigating how financial products and services are weaponised to cause harm;
- Developing safer, preventative financial systems;
- Addressing any gendered elements of financial abuse;
- Creating workplace resources to support those affected.
Help us drive meaningful change by participating in our research. We hope to:
- Highlight the tactics used by perpetrators of financial abuse;
- Identify who is most likely using these tactics, and how;
- Uncover the most common forms of financial abuse, shedding light on how systems can be adjusted to stop these.
Contribute to our Research
We invite family violence specialists, Men's Behaviour Change facilitators, and other professionals working directly with men who use tactics of coercive control, including financial abuse, to contribute by joining a focus group to discuss collective experiences.
Your insights will contribute to creating safer systems for individuals, families, and workplaces. No expertise in financial abuse is required—every perspective is valuable in driving meaningful change.
Your Participation Matters
Together, we can disrupt financial abuse and create safer systems for everyone.Â
By contributing to this research, you are helping to build understanding, healing, and long-term change for individuals, workplaces, and families.Â
Work with us to create a world where non-violence is the social norm!Â
