Shaping Character: Simple Steps for Bringing Out the Best in Kids (& Ourselves)
Event description
Do you want…
✅ strategies to better support the children you work with?
✅ to expand your communication toolbox with empowering language?
✅ to nurture a culture of character - like care, respect and kindness - in your classroom/centre?
This 2 hour session will introduce the UN-endorsed global initiative the Virtues Project™, with a focus on strategies for recognising children’s strengths and supporting them to realise their potential.
Participants will learn practical language and communication tools to help children understand the inherent qualities of their character - their virtues. The workshop will explore the language of virtues and how it can be used to enhance or guide children’s behaviour, strengthen their character, and establish the foundations of positive self-esteem.
“It is a completely different way of communicating with not just kids but everyone. I think it will lead to more calmness and joy in the world around us.” - Participant
