Shaping Housing Decisions Together
Description
Shaping Housing Decisions Together
From consultation to genuine decision-making
Thursday, 5 November 2026 | 12:30–1:30 pm AEDT
Online | Free | Limited to 20 participants
Consultation is not the same as decision-making.
How do we ensure people with disability have genuine influence over where they live, who they live with, housing design and the supports they receive?
Join Jeramy Hope Consulting & Advisory for an informal online roundtable exploring how we can move beyond consultation towards meaningful choice, control and supported decision-making.
Together, we’ll explore:
• How people can shape decisions before housing investments and service models are finalised.
• What genuine decision-making authority looks like in practice.
• How people with lived experience, families, supporters, providers, developers and government can work together.
• Practical examples of approaches that are already working.
Who should attend?
People with lived experience of disability are particularly encouraged to participate, alongside advocates, housing developers, support providers, policymakers and others committed to person-centred housing.
This is not a formal presentation or webinar. It is an opportunity to listen, share experiences, challenge assumptions and explore possibilities together.
Participation is free, with places limited to 20 to support meaningful discussion. A waitlist will be available if registrations reach capacity.
Accessibility requirements can be shared privately during registration.
People shaping their homes and supports. Every decision. Every step.
