Shaping our tomorrow
Event description
NZAEE has big plans, and new NEX funding. We want to find out what tomorrow looks like for teachers, providers and researchers, so that NZAEE can help more ākonga learn about, live in, and love the natural environment.
This online hui will feature:
- A presentation from Rachel Bolstad, NZCER who is researching climate change education.
- A teacher’s story from Di Christenson - how environmental education links with the curriculum and helps to make local connections.
- A provider’s perspective from Marty Taylor from Papa Taiao Earthcare - the impact that is possible with the right support and connections.
- An opportunity for you to tell us what training you want or need; how best to connect with others; and what you want from a representative organisation.
The hui will be held online and a Zoom link will be emailed to those registered in advance.
There are also groups gathering locally, so if you are in one of the areas below, and would like to meet face-to-face, please contact the person listed below. (Local gatherings will begin at 2:45 so everyone is in the room in time for the Zoom start at 3:00 sharp).
