Sharing research outside Australia? Understand your obligations (HDR Information Session)

Are you thinking about international research-or already collaborating overseas? Perhaps you aren't sure if this applies to you - don't take a chance, join this interactive information session, hosted by the Research Integrity Office, to learn what legal and regulatory issues may affect your research.

During the session we will be available to answer your questions and share guidance on areas such as:

· What counts as a "dual-use" item or sensitive research area

· Spotting red flags when working with international collaborators

· Understanding foreign influence and foreign arrangements and other legislation as it applies to your project

· Demonstrating due diligence in your research

Whether you're planning overseas fieldwork, co-authoring with international peers, working with sensitive data or technology, or simply travelling overseas this is a chance to get practical advice, clarify your responsibilities, and avoid costly mistakes.

As part of this information session we will also work through the UOW Regulatory Checklist for International Collaborations. This document is a record you can keep with your research project to demonstrate your due diligence.
