She Can Ask That: Supporting women with intellectual disability with their health and relationships - September

Who should attend: Family members and other close supporters of women with intellectual disability.

Aim: This workshop aims to build the awareness, knowledge and confidence of family members and other close supporters to better support women with intellectual disability with decisions about their sexual and reproductive health and safe relationships.

Learning Outcomes

By attending this workshop close supporters of women with intellectual disability will:

• Understand the principles of supported decision making and its importance in sexual and reproductive health and safe relationships for women with intellectual disability.

• Learn about practical tools and resources that support women with intellectual disability to make informed decisions.

• Recognise and reflect on the different roles involved in supported decision making.

This workshop is co-facilitated by CID team members with lived experience of intellectual disability.
