This is your exclusive opportunity to find out more about the She Codes Plus course which is kicking off in September 2022, as well as hear tips and tricks to help you with your application.Â
We'll have She Codes Founder, Kate Kirwin, available to talk to you about alternative pathways into tech. We will also be joined by She Codes alumni, who now have secured roles at as software developers, who will be discussing what a day in life of a developer looks like.Â
This event will explore all the available pathways and opportunities the program can provide, and give you an opportunity to ask questions, soak up some inspiration, and get practical advice for taking the next step in your tech career.Â
What is She Codes Plus?
The Plus course is an alternate pathway for women to enter tech careers. Plus is a fully-funded, six-month course for women*, offered part-time and outside of working hours. It is a blend of online mentoring (via our Slack community) and in person, weekly, content sessions.Â
Plus will teach from beginner level right through to Junior Developer level over the six months. With a tech stack of HTML/CSS, Python, Django, JavaScript and React, while also teaching how to build and use REST APIs, cloud deployment with Heroku, version control with Git, agile methodologies, and core skills.
How can I apply?
We'd definitely recommend coming along to this event before applying, as you'll gain a deeper understanding of what's included and if the program is the right step forward for you. Application questions will be live before the event, but what a great time to bring all of your questions, and have them answered on the spot.
