Welcome to Cacao & Somatic Dance,

A journey of inner remembering, a portal for transformation through movement, music and expression.

This is an opportunity to sink a little more fully into your skin, to soften the edges and to become curious, what old skin have you been outgrowing?

We all have ways that we meet the world, protective layers and barriers that we no longer need to carry,

As these fall away we grow into a new skin, move in new ways, welcome deeper connections, new possibilities and become more of who we truly are.

Maybe you've been shedding some old skin over these last few weeks... or years

What new skin is emerging in its place?

Join us to dance with this, welcoming all parts of you.

What to expect:

As always we will open by welcoming our beautiful Spirit of Mama Cacao, to weave her way through the journey, bringing the energy, clarity and insights most resonant to YOU.

We then slowly flow into the Somatic Dance, beginning slow, building to a peak and gently coming back down to rest and integrate.

The space will close with a short circle and opportunity to connect with others if you choose.

There is a beautiful, supportive dance community that gathers regularly, it's a space where we meet ourselves and one another in all of our expressions, where there are no "right" ways to move, or steps to follow.

Whether you join us regularly, or this is your first time, all of you is welcome here!

-> A cushion & blanket for opening circle

-> Mug for Cacao

-> Item for a co-created altar

-> Drink bottle

Doors open at 6:15 for a 6:30 start at The Art Attic, 43 Tay St, Invercargill.
