Lisa Lerkenfeldt presents a listening walk and readymade concert. With readings by Anuraag Bhatia, Autumn Royal and J Amalie. This event will open a dialogue to reflect on relationships with place, listening practices, and their constant redefinition and experimentation. In retracting the steps of Lisa's new composition 'Shell Of A City' guests will have the opportunity to listen to the sound source perform itself in a readymade concert.
Lisa Lerkenfeldt is a composer, recording and performing artist living in Naarm. She is primarily known for her time altering extended works. In 2021 she toured ‘A Liquor Of Daisies,’ her “ivory-hued fever dream” (Boomkat) around Australia after joining the roster of esteemed French arts publisher Shelter Press. Now joining the vast catalogue of minimal and experimental works on the Room40 label with her new work ‘Shell Of A City’ she reframes the architecture as an instrument in a readymade concert.
