Event description

This is a hybrid event. You may join in-person or online using Google Meet that will be emailed to you before the start of the event.

The security industry is growing fast—and getting loud. Every few month there’s a new hot trend, a new vendor pitch, a new self-proclaimed expert. But in all the noise, the real voices—the ones with hard-won experience and grounded insight—are getting drowned out.

This needs to change.

Introducing SecTalks Legends—a raw, real, no-fluff AMA (fireside chat) with the veterans who’ve walked the walk. We dig beneath the hype to explore what’s really going on in the industry, where we’re headed, and what we can do about it.

For our very first session, we're sitting down with Norman Yue—offensive security researcher at *** [need approval from employer] ***, long-time hacker, and community builder behind initiatives like Platypus. We'll explore his journey, hear his take on the current state of infosec, and ask the questions others won’t.

Thank you for:

  1. Keeping your RSVP up-to-date. We are usually over booked and have a long waitlist. We will sign you in and keep track of RSVPs attendance.

  2. Aligning with SecTalks no-bullshit code of conduct

  3. Keeping the venue nice and tidy during and after the session

Speed hiring

There is an opportunity for potential employers to do an impromptu 60 second description of their open role. If you are interested, speak with one of the organizer before start of the session.

Please note the best way to support SecTalks and tell others about your open roles is through sponsorship. We encourage companies, small or large, to come forward and support their local community.
