Event description

A very special celebration of two great friends and songwriters Shelly Brown and Pam Freeman come together to entertain us with their wonderful songs and stories. These intimate Temple concerts are perfect for really getting to know the artists and how they tick. Accompanied by jazz pianist Dan Brown, this concert will be a wonderful celebration of friendship!

Pam Freeman is a renowned Northern Rivers singer-songwriter, performer and music coach. Her music takes audiences on a warm and honest reflection of life's journey. Getting to the heart of what it is to be human - love, motherhood, self-discovery, and resilience. She fearlessly explores the highs and lows of existence, capturing the essence of human experience with humour and vulnerability.

Pam is recognized locally as the vivacious bass player and charismatic banterist for the much loved band The Loveys. As a solo artist Pam unveils her introspective originals, inviting listeners into her intimate world of storytelling through music.

Pam's upcoming performance will be enriched by the musical talents of Dan and Shelly Brown, who will be providing support for her soulful melodies and evocative lyrics. Together, they promise an evening of harmonious sounds and genuine connection with the audience.

Indie-Soul Musician Shelly Brown has supported Jon Cleary and Dionne Warwick, and shared stages with Mama Kin Spender, The Resin Dogs, Lloyd Spiegel and Skunkhour and many more, and played tours in Australia, Vietnam, Argentina and Europe.

Shelly was born to sailor and aviator parents, and is based in Lennox Head/Byron Bay. Immersed in music, she embraced jazz and soul, collaborating with her husband, Dan Brown on piano, bass and synth.

Shelly’s intimate, soulful voice and unique, distinctive guitar playing have engaged audiences of all sizes, from small bars, to festival stages.

She’s ever passionate about facilitating vocal workshops, choirs and her podcast, "Singing Lessons For No One,” which is currently nearing 100k streams. She now dives deep into her latest EP: "In We Dive”, featuring Grant Gerathy and Alex McLeod.
