ShePowers: Women Gather

This August, women are gathering all around the country to shape a big conversation, exploring how our communities and our households can thrive from the renewable energy transition.

Will you host a gathering with a few women in your community?

Whether its with 2 or 3 women or 10, in person or online, the important thing is that we bring your voices to our national dialogue of women from all over the country. 1 Million Women will weave together all our authentic stories and insights to develop key recommendations to take to state and federal governments to drive positive change to rural and regional Australia.

Hosting a Gathering

You don’t need to be an expert. This is about getting together with a few women in your community at home over a cuppa.

1 Million Women is here to support you every step of the way. We will send you everything you need to host a great gathering.

YOUR GATHERING

Where: Have your gathering at home over a cuppa, in your favourite cafe, even online. Anywhere that works for you.

How: Register now to host and we will send you a ‘Women Gather’ pack with everything you need to get started.

When: Pick any day and time between August 15 to September 7 to have your gathering.

Time: Allow approx an hour for the conversation.

Who to invite: Women in your community. Could be 2, 3, or more. As many women from your community as you want to create a conversation.

Why: So we can hear from you. We will capture the insights and stories from the gatherings and take the recommendations on "how our communities can thrive in the renewable energy transition" to politicians across the country.

• create a personalised online invite for your gathering to help you invite women. All you need to do is send them the link.

• provide you with an ‘Women Gather’ online toolkit including:

  • tips and ideas on hosting,

  • a conversation guide and questions to explore.

  • an online portal for capturing the insights discussed at your gathering.

• hold an information session pre-gathering where you can ask all your questions to the 1 Million Women team.
