She Sharp is back to celebrate International Women’s Day 2022! We hope you’ve had a beautiful summer so far and that you are excited for all that She Sharp has planned for you this year!

International Women’s Day is fast approaching and She Sharp is partnering with AWS to bring you an inspirational evening where we talk all about #breakingthebias!

Come along on Thursday, 10th March, 6:30pm to enjoy some fireside chats by amazing panelists, an interactive workshop and a short quiz. Please join us to celebrate and honour the women you know, the women who inspire you and the women who work hard everyday to create more diversity in the tech sector! We will have special prizes and giveaways for those who register and attend the event.

Meet the speakers!

Pip Gilbert, AWS

Pip is an experienced tech executive who knows first hand what it takes to take tech products to the world. From heading up Strategy and Product at EROAD, to Product and Data Science at Dexibit, Pip now applies that unique product leadership skillset of spanning vision to tactics in her role leading strategy & operations at Amazon Web Services NZ.

Gilbert Quinn, AWS

I am a husband, father, artist, geek, technology enthusiast, gamer, kids play gym, food lover and travel lover. My career has led me to specialise in software and solution architecture and design, business analysis, team and process management, and helping customer digitally transform their business. I joined AWS in 2019 as the first SA Manager in NZ, leading a team of Solutions Architects helping customer solve business challenges through the use of AWS technologies. Before that I was CTO at Britehouse Automotive which is part of the NTT group of companies, where I lead a team building technology enabled business solutions for the Automotive industry in South Africa.

Pratima Singh, AWS

Pratima has been in the IT industry for almost 14 years. Through her tenure she has been in a multitude of roles - from being an individual contributor to leading cloud centre of excellence teams. In her current role as a solutions architect at AWS,  Pratima helps small and medium business use cloud to build successful businesses. Pratima has been a SheBuilds mentor and has spoken on various technical and non-technical topics in global conferences

Adam Barker, AWS

Adam is a Senior technology executive with extensive experience driving business outcomes through cloud. Skilled in Cloud Strategy and Technology, Sales, Partner Management, Go-to-market Strategy and Negotiation.

Erin Anderson Scott, GD1 (Global from Day One)

Erin is passionate about connecting people, businesses, and communities.

Currently, she is the Community Manager at GD1 VC firm. Her international experience and diverse background have given her a strong understanding of the digital divide, the benefits of technology, and how they can be utilised to create positive change.

She is an advocate for diversity and inclusion, and collaboration over competition. In a previous role with Australian based company Fitted for Work, she helped deliver Australia's first transgender women in work programs, worked alongside large corporates to streamline sustainability and inclusivity initiatives, and has delivered thousands of programs and services to women and gender diverse clients facing disadvantage.

Outside of work you'll find Erin coaching tennis, exploring art galleries, out on an adventure, or investigating sustainable fashion avenues.

Pauli Sosa, Go Hard on Tech (Auckland Unlimited) & MUV Talks

Pauli is passionate about connecting people and making things happen. She is the Community Manager at Go Hard On Tech by Auckland Unlimited.
She Co-Founded MUV Talks, a non a non-profit series focused on building capability and relationships within communities. She is also a volunteer as Global Facilitator at Startup Weekend and Startup Digest Curator for New Zealand.

Ankita Dhakar, Security Lit / Cyber Cosmos

Due to the impact of COVID-19 and people moving to remote working and more businesses choosing digital solutions brought a cyber-pandemic to New Zealand. Once Ankita learnt about cyber security incidents and the very real threats companies and individuals face in the digital era, she knew she had to help. With this vision, she founded Security Lit, A company providing penetration testing and security consultancy services to SMEs. Ankita made it her mission to make cybersecurity solutions easy and affordable so that all businesses – big or small - can operate confidently and securely in cyberspace.
