Shimano x Blue Derby Kids Clinic

Kick off your 2025 year right and join us for an exciting series of mountain biking skills sessions on the Blue Derby Network.

These sessions are designed to help you level up your riding and are offered for free thanks to everyone’s favourite component brand Shimano.

Each session is capped at just 10 riders to ensure a personalised experience with a qualified professional instructor.

Shimano ambassador’s Izzy Flint and Cam Ivory will be there on the day to add to your riding experience and learn from some of the best in the state.

At the completion of the sessions instructors will be holding a special “Do a Wheelie” workshop, this can be done by anyone, at any skill level, simultaneously!

Beginner Session – Find Your Flow
Duration: 3 hours
Level: Beginner
Details: This session is perfect for those new to mountain biking or looking to sharpen their skills. We’ll start on the lower network green trails and finish with a shuttle to Hazy Days. With a focus on braking and cornering, you will come out of this session with the confidence and skill to find your flow on most of the trails in the Derby network.

Intermediate Session – Tackle More Challenging Trails
Duration: 4 hours
Level: Intermediate
Details: Ready to push your skills? This session is designed for riders who are comfortable on green trails and want to take on more technical terrain.

We’ll start with a skills check on lower network trails before tackling some ‘Green/Blue’ Stump shuttles. Focused on turning tricky rock gardens and technical sections into smooth, flowing rides, we’ll get you floating through some of the more technical trails with ease.

Spots are limited to 10 riders per session, so don’t miss your chance to ride, learn, and have fun!

Two free sessions are confirmed, and a third will be added based on demand.
