Shindig Film Festival 2026

Lights, camera, ACTION!

All Saints Anglican School’s much-loved film festival, Shindig, returns in 2026, continuing a proud tradition that spans more than 20 years.

Shindig gives students the opportunity to create their own short films and experience the excitement of seeing their work showcased on the big screen at Event Cinemas Robina.

Over the years, Shindig participants have gone on to pursue successful careers in film and television, while many others have simply enjoyed the unforgettable experience of sharing their creativity, storytelling and talents with a live audience.

Join us for the Shindig Screening and Awards Night, as we celebrate this year’s student filmmakers and announce the winning entries.

Film Requirements

All entries must incorporate this year’s signature theme or item: ACTION

Films may be entered in one of two categories:

• Short Film: Up to 10 minutes

• Super Short Film: Up to 1 minute

Judging and Prizes

Entries will be judged by our experienced panel:

• Mrs Sparks

• Mrs Frawley

• Mr Lewis

Prizes have been generously donated by Camera House Robina.

House points will also be awarded to all students who participate.

Important Dates

• Entries close: Wednesday 16 August 2026

• Shindig Screening and Awards Night: Thursday 17 August 2026

• 7.00pm - 10pm
