While in the mountains he meets Sonam Tshering, a boy the same age as his own son. Tenzin develops a friendship with Sonam, the yak herder's son, who now becomes his focus. Somehow they are both affected by the rare snow leopard, but in different ways. What will the fate of these rare cats, these 'jewels of the mountains', be?
