About the workshop: Uplift and Twenty10 are inviting YOU to our ✨️CLAY WORKSHOPS✨️! Twenty10 will partner with Uplift; a UNSW student-led organisation providing free art programs from screen printing to sewing and film photography, bringing all kinds of art to young people around Sydney. Break out of your mould and clayfully craft some funky figurines, trinket trays or anything your heart desires!"

In the first of these two-part workshops, you will learn the art of moulding clay figurines using air-dry clay, and in the second workshop, you will decorate, paint, and seal your new artistic treasures.

Pet Portrait Painting

Date: THUR 17 OCT
Workshop Time: 4-7PM
Location: Twenty10

About the workshop: This painting workshop is designed to invite participants to experience the medium of paint, a place of nonjudgment and joy. We will learn how to approach painting a pet portrait with bold colours, patterns, and imagination. Beginners and seasoned artists alike, or those who are just curious about connecting with each other in the act of creativity, are welcome. Experiment with texture, colour, brushwork, scale and lighting with the guidance of the facilitator. Bring along a picture of your Pet or a pet you would like to meet for inspiration. All other materials are provided, just wear something you don’t mind getting a little paint on, or bring a painting smock.

About the artist facilitator:
Sid is a multidisciplinary artist who loves working in ceramics, printmaking, painting, and textiles. Their work often blurs the line between art and craft, focusing on creating what brings joy. Sid celebrates the unconventional and values the process of "making bad art," encouraging everyone to embrace their creative journey. With a background in art education, Sid also serves as a youth engagement officer here at Twenty10, where they are dedicated to creating safe and affirming spaces for young LGBTQIA+ individuals.
