Shrimply Fabulous Pride Tea Dance
Event description
Fernandina Beach Pride is hosting our first ever TEA DANCE!
What's a TEA DANCE? Dating back to the 1950s, tea dances are afternoon dance parties organized by the Pride community. Tea dances were an alternative venue for meeting other LGBTQ+ people when gay bars were illegal. Today, tea dances are popular in gay vacation destinations.
For Fernandina's first tea dance, the Pride Dance Floor will be hopping, with DJ Cristina bumping tunes and former Mayor Johnny Miller slinging drinks. So after you've enjoyed (or avoided) the day's Shrimp Festival activities, head on over to the beautiful new Berkman Pavilion to dance the evening away with your Pride friends.
Tickets: $40. All alcohol (beer, wine, liquor) and appetizers are included in the ticket price.
Proceeds will benefit the 5th annual Fernandina Beach Pride Parade & Festival (June 7, 2025) and the Pride Community Fund, which supports outreach and visibility for the Pride community in Nassau County.
21+ only.
