WHAT IS A “PARLOUR LARP”?
Parlour LARP, also known as freeform LARPs, are theatre-driven, non-combat games designed for collaborative story-telling that can include, but is not limited to, a classroom-sized amount of players. Its format is similar to Dungeons & Dragons (minus the table-top aspect) and is featured in movies such as ‘Role Models’ (2008) and the occasional episode of ‘Supernatural’ (2013).
HOW DO I GET INVOLVED? It’s as easy as 1...2...3...PLAY ON!
1: CHARACTER CREATION
Join the Side Quest: Wollongong LARP Facebook group - Here you’ll find our Core Rulebook which explains how to play, what to expect at a game, our code of conduct and how to create and register your character.
2: REGISTER YOUR CHARACTER
Once you know how to play, follow the QR code in the Core Rulebook to create and register your character (this includes if you are a returning player with a returning character).
3: GET READY TO LARP
Bring your character to life through costume, read up on the game lore (coming soon to our Facebook group) and join the Side Quest community online to stay up to date with game announcements.
