Food for Thought: Cultivating Healthy Food Access for All (Thursday Night): The festival kicks off with a vital community conversation on local food security. This opening event features a powerful coalition of local advocates: the Food Bank of Nevada County, Interfaith Food Ministry (IFM), Community Roots, Gold Country Senior Services, and more.
Food Fight 2026 (Friday Night): Hosted by Sierra Harvest at the stunning Castello Vista, this signature fine dining experience serves as a grand demonstration of locally sourced ingredients and culinary talent. This "friendly" fight features top regional chefs presenting inspired dishes, where attendees will enjoy unlimited bites made from 100% local ingredients and cast their votes to crown the People's Choice winner.
FoodX (Saturday Day): Hosted by Sierra Commons and taking place at the historic Miners Foundry Cultural Center in Nevada City, this vibrant food expo highlights cutting-edge food entrepreneurs. Local food businesses will line the hall, selling and sampling their unique creations. The event will continue into the evening with a “Wine Down” after-party featuring live music, food trucks and the outdoor patio at Nevada City Winery.

2nd Annual Food Fight (Friday Night)
Date: Friday 9/25 Location: Castello Vista Estate 15231 McCourtney Rd Grass Valley, CA 95949 Event Run Time: 5:30pm- 9pm Join us for an evening of gourmet bites, delicious craft cocktails, and live music as a celebration of all things food and local agriculture! Chefs will create and inspire a new conversation around the vital importance of supporting a resilient, accessible regional food system. There is only one rule to this delicious fight: everything made must be 100% locally sourced. Recommended Attire: Garden Chic This culinary challenge and fundraiser benefits Sierra Harvest. While our events are usually open to all ages, this event is designed for adult participants.
FoodX (Saturday Day)
Date: Saturday 9/26/26 Location: Miners Foundry Cultural Center 325 Spring Street Nevada City, CA 95959 Event Run Time: 11:30am- 6:30pm VIP Early Entry: 11:30 AM General Admission: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM Wine Down: 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM Join us for an afternoon of tasting, discovery, and connection as local food producers, makers, chefs, and entrepreneurs showcase their products and share the stories behind their brands. From artisan foods and specialty products to emerging food startups, FoodX offers attendees the opportunity to sample, shop, and support local businesses as well as enjoy demonstrations, foodie talks, and live music. Proceeds from the event support Sierra Commons and its work empowering entrepreneurs, creating jobs, and building a stronger regional economy.
