About Sierra Zounes:
Sierra Zounes is a novelist by day and a poet by whim— as long as she’s not too exhausted. Aside from practicing martial arts for the last 23 years, she enjoys writing bizarre stories and spoken word poetry, though she mainly reads dark fiction, fantasy, and horror. She is the San Diego Chapter teacher for the Community Literature Initiative and teacher/coordinator for the San Marcos Writing Project Teen Writers Camp through California State University of San Marcos.Aside from the first book in her Urban Oracle Series, she has published two published poetry books: Teacher Haikus for the Educator’s Non-Existent Free Time through independent publishing and Circuitous Life Lessons through World Stage Press. Among other things, she’ll camp with her husband but will unfortunately leave their cats, Toad and Cucumber, at home while they travel—which is fine, since she loves her cats dearly, and they merely tolerate her back.

Praise for Circuitous Life Lessons:
"Sierra Zounes is a poetic magician. I have never seen poetry presented in a more accessible and whimsical way than in Circuitous Life Lessons. Zounes takes us on a journey exploring the inner workings of what it's like to face life with vulnerability and a good dose of humor. You can expect to find yourself somewhere within the comic strip frames illustrated by the author herself! Circuitous Life Lessons is a must-read for all ages." -Shannon English, Author of Delicate Things
"Sierra Zounes is one of the most creative, thoughtful writers I've ever met. You never quite know where she's going to take you, but you always know it's going to be a fun ride!" -Susan Black Allen, author of The Best S** I've Never Had
