Event description

Every August, the Chadash family, with dance artists that span the country, come together to create a truly remarkable performance experience! We tell original stories about the human condition, primarily through professional dance, but also spoken word, film, multimedia, and photography in a truly creative and powerful way! These soul-stirring shows are a new take on what storytelling can look and feel like and leaves the audience with space to view the world in a different way: to see it as it is, honestly, but also what it can be, through the lens of hope!

Our August 2025 show will be called “Sight,” and will be based on the idea of seeing with our hearts (“And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye” -The Little Prince) and about walking on that path where those things that are invisible are essential. As we walk out that journey, we realize that sometimes what we think is upside down is really right side up, and vice-versa, that in this world of intangible realities, we are all connected, from human beings to animals, to even the most insignificant seeming plant-life. In the beautiful web that tangles us together, we are held and loved, and we are invited through our hearts, to use our sight.
