Silent Body Doubling with Neuk Collective
Description
Free online body doubling sessions for neurodivergent creatives, led by Gaelle Chassery and Angela McG
Looking for a quiet, low-pressure way to stay focused on the things you need or want to do?
Our Silent Body Doubling sessions provide a shared online workspace where you can work alongside other neurodivergent people without the social demands of conversation. Unlike our regular body doubling group, these sessions are designed for people who prefer to work silently, with cameras and microphones switched off throughout.
Whether you're working on a creative project, catching up on admin, doing housework, resting, studying, attending to life tasks, or simply trying to get started on something you've been putting off, you're welcome here.
The aim is to provide gentle accountability, motivation and a sense of working alongside others, while keeping social interaction to a minimum.
When: Every Thursday, 2pm–3.30pm (UK time)
Where: Zoom
What is body doubling?
Body doubling is a productivity technique where people work alongside one another to help maintain focus and motivation. Many neurodivergent people find that simply knowing others are working at the same time can make it easier to start tasks, stay on track, and get things done.
What will happen?
There will be a Zoom room that participants can join.
To help create a quiet and focused environment:
Cameras and microphones will remain off throughout the session
Participants are welcome to join and leave at any time
At the start of the session, you can optionally share your intentions in the chat
At the end of the session, you can optionally share what you've worked on
There is no scheduled break, but you're welcome to take breaks whenever you need them
Many people find it helpful to use timers, alarms, music, soundscapes or other focus tools during the session. You're welcome to use whatever works best for you.
