Full Music Lineup curated by SIMA (Sydney Improvised Music Association)

3pm-4pm Yannick Koffi

5pm-6pm Crawfish Po Boys

Crawfish Po’boys is the brainchild of the trumpeter, songwriter and vocalist Eamon Dilworth (Tijuana Cartel, Ed Kuepper). Inspired by the city of New Orleans and it's heroes like Dr John, Professor Longhair and Kermit Ruffins, their music is a melting pot of Blues, street beats, funk & jazz together with a brass section to create the sound of a big street party.

7pm-8pm Virna Sanzone Quartet

Deeply soulful, yet with the ability to sail effortlessly through the most intricate jazz melodies, Virna Sanzone is widely regarded as one of Australia’s most premiere vocalists, both as a leader and as a collaborator. She has been an integral part of projects that have seen her move across a diverse range of genres having worked with many of Australia’s greats, including Paul Kelly, Tina Arena, Ian Moss, Paul Grabowsky and The Australian Art Orchestra to name a few. Under her own name, she has featured at a long list of festivals such as the Sydney Festival, Stonnington Jazz Festival and most recently the 2021 SIMA Women’s International Jazz Festival. Tonight, Virna will be joined by a trio featuring some of Sydney’s finest musicians, performing a set of jazz on the soul side.

9pm-10 Jo Fabro

Those who have lived and breathed the Sydney live music scene, especially those with a penchant for blues and soul music, may already be familiar with Fabro. Her rich and soulful voice has rained down on listeners in venues and at festivals across the country for over a decade, during which time she has steadily built a core of dedicated followers. Fabro is indeed striking.

At 6”1’ it’s hard not to notice her. It is her voice, however, that is her most striking feature. It is as powerful as Fabro is tall with a stunning capacity for sensitivity and lightness. Fabro is at any moment capable of smacking you in the proverbial mouth with pure, raw emotion and the next minute completely sucking you in with a haunting siren-like quality. You can never be sure where she will take you, only that you’re going to enjoy the journey.
