Trails Marketing - Simplifying Social Media
Event description
Communications consultant Karen Timmins is back for her second session of Trail Mix on trails marketing to talk to us about simplifying social media.
Many organisations have social media accounts but don’t effectively use them to promote their activities. Similarly, they may not be aware of the range of useful, free tools available online.
Let’s get back to basics with an overview of free tools and how they can be used effectively in your organisation.
This session covers how to use Canva, Instagram and Facebook together to get the best results with the least investment of your time. We answer these questions:
• What is Canva and Why Do I Want to Use It?
• What is Instagram and Why Should I Bother?
• Should We Still be Using Facebook?
Aimed at those who have social media account/s but may not use them to good effect, these sessions are simple and backed up by documentation you can access after the webinar.
Karen’s experience in digital marketing and communications comes from varying roles working with local and State government, small and medium business, not for profits and a number of voluntary organisations over the past 10 years.
Her skillset has been described as “a Swiss army knife” for marketing, communications and events and her sessions enable organisations to improve their reach and engagement with audiences both in person and online.
Karen’s sessions aim to provide simple, practical plans that apply to a broad range of marketing requirements.
She brings a genuine interest in sustainable and ecologically responsible regional development, and in keeping kids and adults active. It’s quite likely she will try to introduce you to her number one passion – sailing the extraordinary waters of the Amazing South Coast.
