Singing the Wholeness: Becoming the Voice of the Real
Description
What if our inner experience longs to be sung? What if what feels constricting yearns to be voiced in pure aliveness? What gems can we discover within when we allow our vulnerable parts to be heard? What voices clamor within us, ready to erupt forth from our being?
We all carry sacred soul qualities inherent to our unique being. But we often shove away the feelings or emotions that we deem “dark” or “negative,” thinking they aren’t part and parcel of the divinity we are. When we allow ourselves to surrender to the wildness of what wants to move through us, we are liberated into communion with our deeper self and that which is beyond the self, simultaneously.
This 3-hour vocal workshop invites you to reclaim the fullness of your expression through singing what is alive and true in the moment. From ferocity to subtlety, the chthonic to the angelic, anger to ecstasy, joy to grief, the understood and the unnameable, all is welcome here!
This is your chance to get in touch with and free the parts of yourself and your voice that you may judge as “too much,” “unacceptable” or “not enough.” A workshop to get out of the head and into the freedom of saying yes to the flow of energy that wants to course through you as sound.
Come also to explore the interplay between listening and sounding as an individual within a group sonic field. Can we stay attuned to what the group voice wants to create, feeling our contribution as an important thread within something that is greater than oneself?

Her experience with Voice draws largely from her involvement with the Portland renowned group Earth Women, her high school days of musical theatre, and from her recent Ancestral Song Connections Workshop leadership. She proudly claims her Celtic ancestry, and is devoted to helping others move through ancestral patterning through the use of voice and movement.
