 WHO THIS EVENT IS FOR?

  • People with an intellectual disability who are over 18.

The focus of the event is to:

  • Have fun with music, dance & singing activities.
  • Meet new people & connect with others in the community.
  • Be supported to increase your confidence.

Meet your workshop facilitators: 

    • Allycia Staples-Allycia has been dancing since she was young. She performs in the Sunshine troupe, is a focus group contributor with Bus Stop Films, lead singer with band 'The Outsiders' and currently starring in ABC series of 'Better Date than Never". Allycia is a person with intellectual disability who leads a very full life. She joins this program to share her love of music and to encourage others with disability to develop their confidence and self-advocacy skills, to live the life they choose. Allycia co-facilitates the event.
    • Tracie-Lee Little- Tracie-Lee, the Project Lead has over 20 years' experience in leading inclusion projects. She recently developed and led the engagement of people with intellectual disability or complex communication access needs at the Disability Royal Commission.  Tracie-Lee also has 10 years' experience as a vocalist performing in bands. Tracie-Lee co-facilitates the event with Allycia to ensure all attendees have the opportunity to participate.
    • All the workshop facilitators hold a Blue card & NDIS Yellow card.


     Anyone who requires additional support to participate is encouraged to join us but must arrange and bring along their own support person.

        This is event is fully catered. All group activities are FREE. All attendees including support people must register to attend. Group numbers are limited.
