Sionna - Live at Fairfield House, Nelson, 2025

Spring is coming — but what better way to spend a fresh Friday night than in a warm, dark concert hall listening to two Irish folk spin songs about sunrises, goose-stealing foxes, chaste nonagenarians… and emigration. Intriguing, right?

There’ll be stomping reels, driving jigs, powerful polkas, and a few mildly amusing anecdotes along the way.

Sionna return to Fairfield House after two years honing their live act and can’t wait to share it with the good folk of Nelson.

Helen — from Galway — has stepped back from theatre directing and mothering to devote herself to tune writing and harmonies.

Lorcan — from Limerick — is still practising tuning his E string.
