Event description

Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

A SIRF IMRt Common Interest Work Group (CIWG)! Free for SIRF Members! Not a Member? Contact us today!

Online via Zoom.

Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a systematic, proactive method for evaluating a process to identify where and how it might fail and to assess the relative impact of different failures, in order to identify the parts of the process that are most in need of change.

When setting up maintenance programs and assessing risk it is important to know in what way a piece of equipment can fail and what the impact is if that equipment was to fail.

By performing FMEA on all your equipment you can determine the maintenance regime required for that equipment to meet the required reliability.

At this event we will discuss the the elements of FMEA and how to apply it with examples from SIRF Members.

Please come alone and share your knowledge of FMEA and learn from others.
