SIRF NZ IMRT CIWG | Improving Reliability and Maintainability with RAM analysis

This event has passed Register

Event description

RAM analysis is a powerful methodology to identify and assess the Reliability, Availability and Maintainability of systems and equipment. Ram analysis tools are particularly useful where failures can impact greatly on overall availability. Tools utilised with RAM analysis can be very effective to improve reliability and maintainability with the benefit of greater availability of equipment, facilities and systems.

The biggest benefit is greater availability of assets and greater throughput capability. This usually results in a more stable plant with less quality issues and related losses and a safer plant with less unplanned interventions. It is also not unusual to see a 50% or greater reduction of maintenance costs from more effective maintainability and greater reliability not requiring expensive repairs.

With effective RAM analysis, assets also tend to be productive a lot longer and with capability maintained and improved with less likely the need to be replaced with what can be expensive capital investments.

As a Virtual Common Interest Work Group via online video conferencing this will be an opportunity to bring some real knowledge and expertise to the group with presenters sharing genuine learnings, insights and experience with others facing the same opportunities and challenges.

Presenter - Dr Allen Tam,
