    Amid an intensifying crackdown by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) on businesses flouting Heavy Vehicle National Law, especially in 
    Victoria  and NSW , there is a rising trend towards prosecutions followed by opportunities for Enforceable Undertakings. These are not just punitive measures but vehicles for learning, improving safety, and fostering industry-wide growth. Despite legislative changes, however, opportunities for significant  improvement persists in the transport industry towards safety.

    As we move into 2024, we see an urgent need to shift this narrative, prioritising transport safety despite the need for efficiency and competitive pricing.   The industry's future depends on embracing this transformation.
