Sistergood Showcase

Event description

This event takes place on the stolen land of the Yuggera and Turrbal people. We acknowledge that sovereignty has never been ceded and pay our respects to the traditional owners, and their Elders past, present and emerging. It always was, and always will be Aboriginal land.

We excitedly invite you to the official Sistergood Showcase!

Come along to Ithaca Hall on Sunday 14th August to help us celebrate 5 years of Sistergood Choir. Enjoy an afternoon of sweet melodies and yummy harmonies, as we perform and share some of our favourites from over the years.

Sistergood Choir is a Meanjin based community choir for female identifying, femme, and non-binary people.

Since the beginning, Sistergood Choir has been a space for people with no experience and no formal training. It’s always been our aim to celebrate and support unreserved self-expression, and indulge our pure and shared love for singing in a space free from judgement and expectation.

The 14th will feature a small lineup of other artists, followed by a very rare Sistergood performance. And stick around, as we have a fun surprise for you to take us into the night!

This is a ticketed event. Tickets are sold through Humanitix.

All profits will be donated directly to Sisters Inside; a Queensland-based, independent community organisation advocating for the collective human rights for women and girls in prison.

We hope you can join us for this special day! Further details coming soon.
