Site Visit - 211 High Street
Event description
Join us to view the construction of the 211 High Street office build!
The construction of 211 High Street in Christchurch is progressing rapidly with the installation of 114 mass timber columns, some reaching nearly eight metres in height. These columns, forming the perimeter and interior of the building, utilize innovative, tool-free connection technology that allows for quick and clean assembly—some in under 10 minutes.
The development, which includes three office levels and ground floor retail and hospitality, is expected to be completed by year-end. Developer Anthony Leighs emphasizes the project's sustainability, noting that mass timber reduces carbon emissions and accelerates construction. The building targets top environmental ratings (Green Star 6 and Nabers 5), aligning with growing tenant demand for eco-conscious spaces.
