Get clear about what Sitting up Straight means and see how you can sit with comfort and ease.

About this Event

What does it mean to "sit up straight", and is it possible to "sit up straight" for more than 30 seconds? Sitting up Straight - Defined is going to help you get clear on the answers and show you that you can sit with comfort and ease.

What we are going to do:

- Look at why do you feel (or are told) that you need to sit up straight and what does that even mean.

- Understand why do we slouch, is it bad, and what can we do about it.

- Find out how to self-assess and correct (hint - not by forcefully "bringing your chest up and shoulders back").

- Understand how breathing and core function affect the spine while sitting.

- Learn a few simple exercises that are going to help open up the shoulders and naturally bring the spine in a more graceful shape.

What happens on the day:

- Meet and great.

- How you sit is how you move, and the other way around

- Slouched shoulders, how we mask them and what it means for us.

- Shoulder, arms and neck exercises and alignment

- Hips low back and core exercises and alignment.

You need to be able to:

Stand, sit, go down to the floor and up somehow and without much pain. (If you are in pain, I recommend a personal consult first).
