Growing a Better Food Future: Garden Session and Film Screening
Description
Come and get your hands in the soil, explore regenerative growing and be inspired by a different way of thinking about food.
We’ll start with a hands-on session in the EcoMatters Organic Teaching Garden with Meg Liptrot, exploring the magic and importance of healthy soils and how organic and regenerative approaches can help us grow good food.
Then settle in at the EcoHub for a screening of Six Inches of Soil – an inspiring story of young British farmers challenging the industrial food system and exploring how we can restore soil health, support local communities and create a more regenerative food future. Please feel free to bring your own lunch, some light snacks plus tea and coffee will be provided.
This is a two part session:
Garden Session with Meg 11am-12.00pm
Break for a light snack
Film screening with Q&A session - 12.30pm-2.30pm
Together, the garden session and film offer a chance to think about the changes we can make in our own gardens, communities and wider food systems.
If you join the morning garden session, as our thank you for your mahi, you can enjoy the film screening for free - choose 'General Admission (Garden session and film screening') ticket. If you can only join us for the afternoon film screening, please select 'General Admission - film screening only' ticket. The ticket price helps covers the licensing for the film screening.
