Size-inclusive seminar

Event description

Join us for an eye-opening seminar that challenges the conventional wisdom linking body weight with health. Evidence shows that behaviour doesn't necessarily determine a person's body weight and body weight doesn't always reflect health. Yet, many believe weight loss is key to better health and disease prevention and that higher body weight equates to poorer health.

This pervasive weight stigma creates barriers to health-supporting behaviors, like nourishing eating and regular movement.

This seminar aims to break down these barriers by promoting a size-inclusive approach to health.

We invite health professionals, educators, and community leaders to learn how to create environments that support people of all shapes and sizes in optimising their health and well-being.
