The Social Justice in Early Childhood Foundation is the last true not-for-profit, volunteer managed group actively advocating for social justice. Our membership option is flexibly priced, meaning you are welcome to pay what you can. All donations support the Foundation to continue its vital work. 


The Social Justice in Early Childhood Membership is a unique learning experience that brings together individual learning, networking, and sharing in a safe and collaborative environment. 2023 Membership includes:

BOOK CLUB

Guided exploration of The Anti-Bias Approach in Early Childhood (4th edition).

  • Four live Zoom workshops hosted and facilitated by members of the SJIEC Foundation Board and Social Justice Emissaries
  • Pre-reading of chapters allocated prior to the workshops
  • Reflective questions shared prior to the workshops
  • Opportunity to share learning, thinking and reflections with colleagues through break out rooms

*Physical book not provided in membership. Books can be purchased separately at the Early Childhood Australia Shop

Time: 7-8pm AEDT

WEBINARS

Members will have access to two live Zoom webinars throughout the year.

- ‘Political advocacy: letter writing and other big ideas’ with Dr Red Ruby Scarlet, Stephen Gallan and Catherine Samson (5/6, 7-8pm AEDT)

- ‘Everyday advocacy and activism in early childhood spaces’ with Sarah Louise, Alistair Gibbs and Dr Rachel Chapman (11/9, 7-8pm AEDT)

INVITATION TO WRITE

Members are encouraged to submit a blog post on a social justice in early childhood issue, highlighting practice, sharing knowledge and/or celebrating your work.
