SKANT x PANKEKI: 'There She Goes' Runway & Group Exhibition
Description
'There She Goes' merges fashion and playful art in a runway show and group exhibition that explores the imagination and expression of our inner child. This yearning to identify with our youthful selves is revealed through the craftsmanship of soft toys handmade by 10 artists combined with locally sourced, past colourful designer garments. We want to inspire the childlike freedom to naturally be ourselves.

The SKANT x PANKEKI collaboration explores the intersection between fashion and art, spotlighting emerging creatives before Melbourne Fashion Week. This project centers around nostalgia, self expression, and the playful freedom of childhood, blending archival fashion, handmade elements, soft art, and contemporary styling into one space. We truly believe this event can resonate emotionally with people who can sometimes feel outside and in between high fashion and pop culture.
So join us on opening night on Friday 16th of October from 6pm for our fully immersive runway and showroom experience that reflects the imaginative heart through the ensemble of plush artworks and curated garments.
Then you can come back over the weekend to enjoy a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere where you can get a closer look at the beautifully hand-sewn soft sculptures and fashion accessories. Footage of the runway from the previous night will also be playing through various LED displays.
**A very limited number of merchandise from some of these artists will also be available for purchase throughout the show. We cannot reserve products as we operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
This exhibition continues to build into PANKEKI’s vision to reconstruct the existing perceptions in Australia towards this form of playful, stylised flat art inspired by pop culture.
