Skills & Training Summit 2026

Following the success of last year's summit, the Skills & Training Summit 2026 will bring together business, education, training, government and community leaders to explore practical solutions to the Mid North Coast's workforce challenges.

The summit will examine how we can strengthen workforce pathways from early career awareness and engagement through to skills development, accreditation, talent attraction and long-term workforce retention.

Through keynote presentations and panel discussions, attendees will hear from employers, educators, training providers, government representatives and people with lived experience of the region's education and workforce pathways. Together, they will explore what's working, where gaps remain, and opportunities for greater regional collaboration.

Key discussion areas include:

• Early engagement: connecting young people and their families with education, training and career opportunities.

• Skills, training and accreditation: strengthening local training delivery and improving pathways to qualifications and employment.

• Talent attraction and support: attracting, retaining and supporting skilled workers across the region.

The summit will conclude by exploring practical pathways forward, including collaborative models and innovative approaches to better connect education, training and industry across the Mid North Coast.
