Event description

THIS EVENT HAS NOW MOVED ONLINE.  A LINK TO THE ZOOM MEETING WILL BE SENT TO YOU AFTER REGISTRATION FOR THE EVENT AND CLOSER TO THE DATE.

Our region’s ethnic and cultural diversity has grown rapidly over the past decade, and is projected to increase further. This diversity adds huge value to our communities and businesses, and has put a spotlight on how we communicate and interact in the workplace. This session will focus on:

· understanding what makes Kiwi workplaces different to other countries

· why it’s hard for people from some cultures to ‘fit in’

· how different cultures like to be managed, give and receive feedback, trust each other etc.

· offering practical advice on how to deal with cultural differences in the workplace

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

  • Those who manage teams with a range of different cultures
  • Those who communicate regularly with those from other cultures (contractors, clients etc.)
  • Those who are keen to improve their communication skills in a multi-cultural workplace

Meet some consular officials from some of our biggest migrant groups to offer advice and assistance for any employer looking for workers overseas.

This event will go ahead in Traffic Light Framework – Red, Orange and Green. Currently, tickets are limited to 30 people.
