Slapdash Choir 'End Of Year Thing' 2026

An end of year event to get together and sing, socialise, and celebrate community! Longer afternoon format for popping in and out, open to all!

This year our end of year festivities will be a little different to last year, to maximise on the casual/festive vibes, and allow us plenty of room to sing, mingle, nibble and sip!

The event will sell out! So grab a ticket beforehand for you and your loved ones!

When: Sunday 6thth December, 2:30pm to 6pmish. Designed to be a longer session with bouts of singing throughout, so if you can only come earlier or later, or need to pop off, that is so very fine- silly season is busy season!

Where: Thirroul Railway Institute Hall, Thirroul (not the library!)

Tickets: $5 each, free for kids under 12. It will sell out!

Who: Everyone is invited! Free event, bring you family, your partner, your kids, your friends, heck bring along an enthusiastic stranger.

What: It will be a combination of musci and revelry, with extra time for the latter than previous! We will sing some simple songs (probably including some Christmassy ones), eat some food, sip some drinks, enjoy a performance by Deepdish Choir, et cetera et cetera.

BYO event, bring along something nice to crack open and sip on (a tipple tends to make group singing rosy cheeked and merry!)

A Request For Some Help

I am but one man! Would love some help with a few things, if you can help in any way that would be appreciated, many hands makes light work :)

• Early set up people from 2pm- setting up food tables, chairs and stuff.

• If possible, please bring a plate of something, snacky savoury things encouraged. But also low fuss simple encouraged, whatever you have capacity for.

• A portable medium-largish BBQ? Chiefly, I'm looking for someone who has a barbie that could be transported to the hall (in a van/ute), and then perhaps a few people to take turns turning snags. Send me a message or email me if you have this, would be so nice :)

• Some folk to help with packup and cleanup at the end, if we're winding up and you'r headed off, see if you can help with stacking some chairs or something before you go!
