Christmas has arrived at Old Parramatta Gaol, but there's not much peace on earth or goodwill to be found behind these walls.

The most dangerous inmates have seized control. Most of the guards have fled (or were eaten), while others have abandoned their duties and joined the very criminals they once kept behind bars.

And now? The murderers are running the show.

A new society has emerged within the gaol walls. A ruthless hierarchy where the strongest rule, the weakest obey, and the most dangerous criminals hold all the power.

But even murderers have bills to pay.

With funds running dangerously low, the inmates have made a rather unusual decision. For ONE NIGHT ONLY, they're opening the gates to the public.

For a price, of course.

They've graciously agreed to allow us inside their new kingdom, where they'll show you what life is really like behind bars, introduce you to some of their more colourful residents, and share the fascinating, often brutal history of one of Australia's most notorious prisons.

You'll hear true stories of crime, punishment, murder and misery as you explore the darkened wings and corridors of this historic gaol.

And, of course, there's the small matter of the ghosts…

Because while the living inmates may have taken control, the dead have never really left.

But be warned…

This is no ordinary Christmas ghost tour.

Your hosts are unpredictable, the guards can't be trusted, and the inmates have a rather twisted sense of festive cheer.

Expect sinister characters, terrifying encounters, plenty of dark humour and heart-stopping jump scares as you make your way through a prison where the rules have been rewritten.

And remember, you're not just visiting their gaol.

You're entering THEIR world. And they make the rules.

So you'd better watch out. You'd better not cry.

• This event includes actors portraying prisoners, murderers and prison guards.

• Guests should expect sudden loud noises, unexpected appearances, frightening characters and deliberate jump scares.

• Some scenes may be intense or confronting. This experience is for 18+ years.

• The historical ghost tour component remains an important part of the experience, with stories of the gaol's past and its reported paranormal activity.

• All guests must remain with their designated guide and follow instructions throughout the experience.

Please be aware that this is NOT a traditional ghost tour. It is an immersive, theatrical horror experience with genuine historical storytelling woven throughout.
