Treat yourself to this incredible overnight sleep concert on the longest night of the year – the winter solstice. This event features an amazing lineup of artists, all specialists in the science of ambient music: Erika Grant (Orchestra of Spheres); Riki Gooch (Cave Circles, Tuone Conduction Ensemble); Chris O’Connor (Phoenix Foundation); David Long (The Labcoats, Teeth); Nick Hyder; Zak Winterwood; Holly Winterwood; and Ben Wood on sound (Dawn Diver).

Each ticket buyer is provided their own bed. During the concert, you can stay awake, snooze, sleep, and also get up and walk around to other parts of the venue, adjacent to the sleeping area – it’s over to you how you would like to take in the event. As the night unfolds and the artists weave their intricate tapestry of sound, you are invited to succumb to the transformative power of deep sleep, drifting between varying states of slumber while the music plays around you.

FAQs, and Details

Doors Open from 10pm and the music begins at 11pm. There is no admittance after 11pm (you can leave earlier if you wish, but there are no pass-outs).

Venue and Capacity: The venue is a high ceilinged, well ventilated heat controlled space with a capacity of 500, however we have limited it to 100 for this event.

Bedding: Everyone is provided a comfortable stretcher to lie on (190 x 65cm). The room is climate controlled, but you should bring your own pillow and covers if desired (eg, a sleeping bag or sheet/blanket).

Seating locations: All tickets are General Admission, unless otherwise stated, and your location is on a first-come, first-served basis.

What to Bring: Please bring your own pillow and cover, if desired. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing.

What not to Bring: large objects, chairs, things that make noises, instruments, etc..

Food and Drink: This is an alcohol free event, it's not permitted to bring any and there won't be any for sale. You may bring snack food and drink, however this may only be consumed outside the sleeping area (except for bottled water, which can be consumed in the main concert hall).

Sleep or Wake? During the concert, you can stay awake snooze, sleep, and also get up and walk around – it’s completely up to you how you would like to take in the event.

Moving Around / Talking: You are free to get up and move around during the concert. We just ask that you don’t disturb others, and avoid talking in the event space.

Snack Room: There is a separate snack room/area separate from the main concert/sleeping hall, where you can purchase snacks, eat your own, and chat with friends, etc.

Age Range: Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Changing Rooms / Cloakrooms: There are no specific changing rooms at the venue, other than public restrooms. There is no cloakroom service, although there will be some unmonitored locations where cloaks can be left. We recommend arriving dressed ready to sleep with minimal extra things.

Cameras: Photography is not permitted in the concert hall once the concert begins.

Mobile Phones: We request that phones aren't used in the sleeping area once the concert begins (perhaps other than to check the time) unless absolutely necessary.

Accessibility: The venue is wheelchair accessible, but please contact us in advance.

Animals are not permitted, other than authorised guide dogs – please contact us in advance.
