SLIA Recruitment Events

Sustainable Leaders in Action (SLIA) is the youth-led branch of Sustainable Contra Costa, a leading sustainability nonprofit serving Contra Costa County. At SLIA, we create the change we want to see in our communities by getting fellow students involved in innovative ways to raise awareness about sustainability. 

SLIA is like an environmental club but is not connected to any one high school, is open to anyone in the county who wants to share sustainable solutions, and provides impactful leadership advancement opportunities for the next generation of environmental activists (us!). 

Register to learn more about SLIA at either of our TWO recruitment events:

Saturday, April 6th at 2pm
Wednesday, April 10th at 7pm 

These meetings will be held via Zoom, and information will be shared with you prior to the event. 

During the recruitment event, we will share information about: 

• Our different projects
• Intern experiences with SLIA + how they got involved
• How YOU can get involved as a SLIA Volunteer and the different things you can work on
• Volunteer Hours (and the potential to earn a Presidential Volunteer Service Award) 

The event will be led by SLIA’s interns and will include a Q&A portion to answer any questions you may have about SLIA.
