Slow Grind Fever at Franks Wild Years
Description
Slow Grind Fever was born in 2012 when Richie1250 hired a russian cultural centre ballroom and threw a slow dance for his 30th birthday, and has been running as a regular event at least once a month ever since. Home is Melbourne / Naarm, Australia, but the call to spread the gospel of slow jams and smoke machines regularly takes it to other towns, states, countries, and dimensions.
On Friday 4th December we invite you back to the smokey dreamland that is Slow Grind Fever for an evening of finger snapping rhythm 'n' blues, smoochy sweet soul, jazzy popcorn, sultry slow-funk burners and uncategorizable moody melters, all sizzling off of antique discs. We play the slowest, sultriest, slinkiest, spookiest, smoochiest, sleaziest, sweetest, swinginest old records we can find, and people dance real slow in a haze of smoke and dim red light. It's a good time.
