Slow Woodcarving Workshop with David Sjoberg
Event description
Join David Sjoberg and experience the meditative joys of slow woodcarving.
David creates wooden carvings from sustainable Australian hardwoods and recycled timber, utilising discarded fence posts, old barns and scrap wood to create regenerative art pieces.
In this slow carving woodworking workshop you will learn to create a simple wooden piece using basic hand tools such as rasps, sandpaper and a woodburner. The workshop is perfect for first time woodcarvers and maintains a focus on strengthening capacity and enhancing wellbeing, tapping into participant's innate creativity.
Through this wellbeing-focused Woodcarving Workshop, you will have the opportunity to create a wooden spoon, whale, or shell. You will also have the opportunity to embellish your creation using a woodburning tool.
